In May of 2003, Pastor Jason graduated from Georgia State University with the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. One month later, he married Brittney on June 7, 2003, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Making the move to Taylorsville, North Carolina, Pastor Jason and Brittney attended Poplar Springs, where they sat under the preaching of Rev. Rick Safriet until 2006. Pastor Jason began his studies at West Lenoir Baptist School of Ministries, where he received his Bachelor and Masters Degree in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Dr. James Lockee served as President of the school at the time. During these times of study, the Lord blessed Pastor Jason and Brittney with two sons.
